The grapes for this delicious Sauvignon Blanc were sourced predominantly from the cooler slopes of the Crownthorpe district of Hawkes Bay, located on the banks of the Ngaruroro River. 2018 produced clean, healthy, flavoursome fruit. The fruit for this wine was harvested between 23rd March and 9th April 2018 at 19° Brix.
Fermentation was initiated and proceeded in a slow controlled manner to preserve both the varietal fruitiness and its aromatic intensity. It was lightly fined, followed by stabilisation prior to bottling during June 2018 under screwcap.
This classic Hawkes Bay Sauvignon Blanc is crafted in an off-dry style, with richness, depth and delightful aromas and flavours of luscious tropical fruits, tomato leaf and gooseberry. Deliciously appealing, enjoy on its own or matched with your favourite seafood and Asian style dishes.
