The grapes for this fine wine were grown mainly in our Meeanee vineyard located slightly inland from the coast in the celebrated wine district of Hawkes Bay. 2016 proved to be an excellent growing season allowing the fruit to be harvested in early April 2016 at optimum flavour profile.
The juice was fermented in separate parcels, the larger parcel in a stainless steel vat (approximately 29% was barrel fermented) The portions were blended on 9th October 2016, no fining required, then filtered, followed by bottling under screwcap on during December 2016.
This intensely aromatic wine showcases apricot and peach aromas and flavours with hints of lemon and vanilla. Full-bodied, yet silky smooth, this delightful wine is enjoyable on its own, or will pair beautifully with your favourite chicken, salmon or risotto dish.
