The grapes for this delicious Sauvignon Blanc were sourced from the cooler elevated terraces of the Puketapu district of Hawkes Bay, located a little inland
from Taradale along Tutaekuri River. They were harvested on 3rd April 2016 in optimal condition.
On arrival at the winery, the grapes were immediately pressed off their skins and the juice cool tank fermented to retain its fresh fruity character and lively acidity that this variety is classically renowned for. It was then allowed to rest on lees for a short period after ferment for enhanced complexity, before the wine was lightly fined and filtered. Then bottled under screwcap on 15 June 2016.
This classic Hawkes Bay Sauvignon Blanc has been crafted in an off-dry style, showing richness and depth, with a delightful aroma of white blossom fragrance leading into flavours of tropical stonefruit and lime. Deliciously appealing, enjoy on its own or matched with seafood and Asian style dishes.
